Then came high school, and that crushing moment when I missed the mark by just 1% on the entrance exam for medical school. I remember feeling like the ground just dropped beneath me. All those years of dreaming, working hard, and boom—1%. It was like my whole future had been ripped out from under me. But, instead of giving up, I pivoted. Biomedical engineering became my next target. It wasn’t quite medicine, but it was science and technology. It was still in my wheelhouse

Fast forward to 2005, and I graduated with my biomedical engineering degree. I landed a job as a sales supervisor, which seemed like a solid choice. I had a steady job, a paycheck, and the comfort of knowing I was doing something "practical." But here’s the thing: I wasn’t passionate about it. I did it, but it didn’t feel like I was where I was supposed to be. I kept asking myself, “Is this really it?” Something was missing

Outgrowing a role is natural, don’t fear leaving what no longer fits your growth.

In 2006, I decided to pursue a Master’s degree, enrolling in a double program for Engineering Management and IT Management. It was a big decision, but I knew I needed more. More knowledge, more tools to tackle the complex world of business and technology. I spent the next three years, from 2006 to 2009, immersed in my studies. It was an eye-opening time, where I learned not only new skills but also how to think in broader, more strategic ways.

By 2010, I started working at a bank. Honestly, I thought I was on the right track. I worked my way up in project management, business development, and outlet expansion strategy. All these roles seemed stable and respectable. I could see the career progression. But deep down, I wasn’t happy. I felt like I was just going through the motions. And that realization hit me hard. So, in 2017, I took a step back. That’s when I knew I had to figure out what really mattered to me.

True success comes from fulfillment, not just job security. “Know your values”

I decided to ask for help. I worked with a coach, and honestly, it was a game-changer. I started learning about myself—my strengths, my fears, my weaknesses. It wasn’t easy, but it was exactly what I needed. I discovered that I wanted to help others find their way, just like I had to. I had always been drawn to coaching, so I took the plunge and got certified as a coach in 2020. It was a big risk, but something in me knew it was the right move. And that’s when my journey really started to shift.

Knowing yourself is the first step to meaningful change

In 2021, I stepped into a new role as a Marketing Director. I was finally starting to put the pieces together—this was the kind of leadership and vision I was looking for. I got the marketing experience I had been searching for, and that was a big win. But there was still something more to learn. So, I decided to dive into consulting. I joined a firm, got certifications from Harvard in Business Strategy, and became a certified team coach. These were the tools I needed to truly help others, to become a better leader and consultant. But beyond the titles and certifications, I had a chance to actually put my learning into practice. Over the next three years, I helped more than 100 people in their personal and professional growth. Whether it was through coaching sessions, leadership development, or providing guidance on career transitions, I got to see firsthand the impact of focused, intentional support. These experiences solidified my belief that I was on the right path—and they were a big part of why I felt ready to take the leap into entrepreneurship.

By the end of 2024, I knew it was time to take the leap. I had spent so many years trying to figure out what I was meant to do, and now, I knew it was time to help people who were in the same boat I was. I decided to build my own journey. It wasn’t just a job for me anymore; it was a calling. I wanted to guide people through their personal and professional struggles, just like I had faced. My vision was clear, and the next step was to launch. So, in 2025, I officially launched my business—one focused on empowering others to find their passion, purpose, and the courage to go after what truly matters to them.

Looking back, I’ve learned that life doesn’t always go according to plan—and that’s okay. I’ve failed, I’ve stumbled, and I’ve had moments of doubt, but every one of those experiences led me to where I am today. I’ve learned that finding your passion isn’t a straight line; it’s more like a winding road. But if you trust the process and stay open to change, you’ll find your way. My journey wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. And I’m here now, helping others do the same thing.

And here I am today. I’ve come a long way from that 7-year-old kid dreaming of becoming a doctor, and I wouldn’t change a thing. The journey isn’t over. I’ve still got a lot to learn, to give, and to grow. But I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be—living a life that’s aligned with my passions and values. If there’s one thing I’ve learned along the way, it’s that we all have the power to reinvent ourselves, to follow our hearts, and to build a life that feels true to who we are.
